Anne Hathaway reflects on filming The Devil Wears Prada with 'hilarious' cast

Anne Hathaway admits The Devil Wears Prada cast made filming "one of the most hilarious experiences ever".

The 43-year-old star - who is set to reprise her role as Andrea 'Andy' Sachs in the long awaited sequel to the 2006 fashion comedy - admitted while she was "stressed and anxious", working alongside Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci and Meryl Streep took the shoot to another level.

She told PEOPLE magazine: "I loved making the first. I know I was stressed and anxious and all those things, but it’s one of the most hilarious experiences ever because of the people I was with."

She heaped praise on her castmates, admitting she doesn't often tell Streep how much shes "reveres" her.

She added: "Emily Blunt is such a dream of a human being. Stanley is so funny and quick, and Meryl, I don’t talk about how much I revere her to her, but I do.

"She’s someone I admire. Someone who defines how it’s done. Somebody who is just living greatness and never rests on that laurel, but is always pushing herself to expand as an artist. She’s unbelievable."

Blunt played Emily Charlton in the 2006 comedy-drama, and she recently admitted that making the movie remains one of the most memorable experiences of her career.

The actress - who has reprised the role for The Devil Wears Prada 2 - told Extra: "I feel like the first one, I have lasting, very, very prominent memories of it and such an informative time in my life."

Blunt loved starring in the Devil Wears Prada films alongside Hathaway, her showbiz pal.

The London-born star described her co-star as a "great dance partner".

She said: "I love working with Annie because she’s a great dance partner in scenes. She’s very spontaneous. She’ll sort of go with whatever you want to do."

Meanwhile, Tucci admitted he's loved the experience of making the movies.

The 65-year-old actor said: "I’ve been doing this for 45 years and to be able to have that same core group of people together after 20 years is kind of amazing."
